Privacy Policy

The short version:

1. Your speech and recordings stay on your device. We don't see them.

2. There's no account and no analytics in this version of the app.

3. We never sell your information. There's nothing to sell.

4. You can delete a recording any time, and uninstalling the app removes everything.

Who this policy covers

RehearSmart is made by Be Better Offline ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how RehearSmart (the app) handles your information.

What RehearSmart processes

Your script. What you write or paste into the app to rehearse. Stored locally on your device.

Audio recordings. Created when you rehearse. Stored locally on your device only. Never uploaded to a server or shared with anyone.

Transcripts. Created on-device so RehearSmart can compare what you said to your script and give you feedback. Stored locally alongside your recording.

How your information is used

  • Local processing only. Your speech is processed and compared to your script on your device. We don't upload it to a server we operate.
  • No advertising. RehearSmart doesn't use your information for ads, and there are no ads in the app.
  • No selling. We never sell or rent your information to anyone.
  • No analytics in this version. RehearSmart does not currently collect usage analytics or tracking data.

Accounts

RehearSmart doesn't require an account. There's no sign-up, no login, and no profile tied to your identity.

Data storage

Your scripts, recordings, and transcripts are stored locally on your device. RehearSmart does not upload this information to a server we operate. If you have iCloud device backup turned on in your iPhone's settings, your device backup (including app data) may include RehearSmart's data, the same way it would for any app. That setting lives in iOS, not in RehearSmart.

Your controls

  • Delete a recording. Remove any recording from within the app at any time.
  • Remove everything. Uninstalling RehearSmart deletes all of its data from your device.
  • Nothing to opt out of. This version doesn't collect analytics, so there's no tracking to turn off.

Children's privacy

RehearSmart is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as RehearSmart changes. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
